<aside> 😑 As a Computer Science graduate, I, too, dreamed of becoming a pro coder and landing a job as a software developer. I didn't even try to explore any other field besides computer science (because I was fairly decent at it), which gave me the impression that it was where I wanted to pursue my career as I felt it could potentially change the world.

<aside> 😲 Once I was aware enough, I decided to try other things (design, sales, digital marketing, product management, event management and so on). To my surprise, I found all of these areas equally, if not more, interesting. This caused me to stop and reconsider my decision... I wanted to try everything and then make a decision rather than just stick with one thing.

<aside> 💥 During my exploration, I came across the INSURJO’21 by The Product Folks, which proved to be a game changer... It introduced me to Product Management and made me realize that, as a PM, I can be involved in a variety of areas. I then decided to dig deep into it.

Once I was aware of PM, I started reading about PM, doing various case studies, trying new things seriously, learning from my mistakes, started networking with lots of PMs and I loved that process…

<aside> 😍 discovering a passion for PM led me to drop out of my IIT degree, get a job at Upraised in a role I enjoy, and simultaneously pursue a master's degree in Product Design and Management from IIITH... now everything seemed worthwhile. 😍
